Beautiful
Even the healthiest, heirloom quality, net-zero home needs to be aesthetically pleasing. A poorly designed home will steal our energy with inefficient traffic patterns, excess maintenance, and clutter. A well designed home can bring us energy by serving us well. In judging beauty we look for:
- Simple: Does the space feel human sized? Is the space connected well? Is there a place for everything?
- Classic: Can we expect future generations to appreciate this and not generate waste by remodeling before its useful life is over? Is the space usable in multiple ways?
- Quality: Is it done well? Does it embody joy?
