Efficient
We believe in homes that are simple and cost effective to build and maintain. These are some areas where we aim for efficiency:
- Energy Use: Can heating, cooling, and lighting occur with only minimal source energy? (Yes it can! We do it every day. Fun stuff.)
- Solar: Is the design effective at its capture of passive and active solar energy?
- Maintenance: Is the home easy to understand and inexpensive to care for?
- Cost: Is there a more elegant, cost-effective way to do the same thing? What tax credits are available to help fund this project?
