Jonathan King, our production manager, is a Green Remodeling owner with 11 years' experience. His past projects include several of Boise's landmark historic homes on Harrison Boulevard and Warm Springs Avenue.

Jon's concern for the environment began in college where he spent summers working for the non-profit group Carolina Campaign for the Environment. He then went to Washington D.C. and worked as an intern for Senator Ernest Hollings. Fed up with the Washington D.C. scene, he moved to Homer, Alaska, where he first began learning carpentry skills as a hand on a traditional wooden fishing boat.

He and his wife, Carrie, moved to Boise in 1997. Jon has been working in the local remodeling scene ever since. Jon started his own company, King Construction, in 2001. His interest in green building techniques brought him to join Green Remodeling as an owner in 2007. When not working, Jon likes spending time with his family, sailing, and exploring the wide-open spaces of the west.
