Every day, through collaborative design and hands-on craft, we work to create balanced homes–homes that serve people well without compromising nature. Each client and project is unique, but the goal is always the same: provide durable, efficient, healthy, and beautiful space that empowers individuals by meeting their needs and reflecting their values.
This is our highest performing project to date. It uses solar for heating and hot water and an earth-tube for cooling and ventilation. The existing home was not worth saving in its existing form, though most of the lumber from it became a part of the new home. Interior finishes include FSC-certified oak floors, Marmoleum in the kids' rooms, bamboo cabinets, Cambria countertops, low-flow plumbing fixtures, Energy-Star appliances and lighting, and Andersen windows and doors.
